One fundamental concept of the CI-CUBE is the CIC License that uniquely identifies each individual CI-CUBE by a CIC License Number.
The CIC License defines the exact geometrical shape as well as qualitative aspects of any CI-CUBE. On the one hand, this is needed to make the Cubes compatible to each other. On the other hand, the License ensures a certain quality across all Cubes. A CIC License corresponds to either a CIC (Major) License Number, or a CIC Minor License Number.
A CIC (Major) License Number is a strictly monotonic increasing integer number. You may reserve a CIC number in advance and for free, for a period of 1 month. If you request this, the next available number will be reserved for you for the mentioned period. Examples of CIC Numbers are CIC1 and CIC2.
CIC Minor License Numbers can be used if you already own a CIC (Major) License Number. The idea of the Minor Numbers is to bundle your Cube editions in the Catalog section - whenever they were/are/will be released. An example for CIC Minor Numbers is CIC2.1.
